What we agree, before we begin.

01 · Scope
These terms cover this website and the material published on it. They do not cover a design contract, which is a separate document signed by both of us and which takes precedence wherever the two touch.
02 · Ownership
The photographs, drawings and words here belong to Pietra or to the people we made them with. Quote them and link to them with attribution. Do not republish a project as your own work, and do not present our photography as a record of yours.
03 · Using the site
Read it, share it, get in touch. Do not attempt to break it, scrape it wholesale, or pass any part of it off as another studio’s portfolio.
04 · Enquiries
An enquiry is not a commission, and our reply is not a quotation. Work begins when a proposal is signed and the first stage is paid. Until then either of us can walk away without owing the other anything.
05 · Accuracy
Areas, dates and materials are described as built. Photographs show completed work rather than renderings unless a caption says otherwise. Where we find an error we correct it rather than quietly removing the page.
06 · Availability
We keep the site up, but we do not promise it will never be down. Nothing here is a guarantee of service or of response time.
07 · Liability
We are responsible for what we publish, not for decisions you take after reading it. Nothing on this site is professional advice about your own building, and it should not be relied on as such.
08 · Links out
Where we link to a supplier, a photographer or a publication we are pointing at their work, not adopting their terms or vouching for their conduct.
09 · Changes
We update these terms when the site changes. The version and date at the top tell you which set you are reading.
10 · Law
Portuguese law applies, and the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction.
